Install help
macOS
Open kaho.dmg, drag Kaho into Applications, then open it from Applications. Kaho is signed and notarized, so macOS asks once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet. Choose Open.
Windows 10 and 11
Open kaho-setup.exe. It installs Kaho for your user, without admin rights, and downloads WebView2 if Windows lacks it. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” once: click More info, then Run anyway. Edge or Chrome may first say the file “isn't commonly downloaded”: in Edge click “…” → Keep (then Delete ⌄ → Keep anyway if asked), in Chrome click Keep. Kaho updates itself after that. A Microsoft Store version is coming.

Linux, one line (any distro)
Picks the right package for your system and installs everything Kaho needs. It asks for your password (sudo) once:
wget -qO- https://wovero.com/kaho/install.sh | sh
If you have curl instead of wget: curl -fsSL https://wovero.com/kaho/install.sh | sh. If sudo says your user may not run it (Debian with a root password), type su - first and run the line as root.
Then open Kaho from your app menu. On Ubuntu, Debian, Mint and Fedora the command is Kaho; on other distros the app is ~/.local/bin/kaho.
Ubuntu / Debian / Mint (.deb)
Double-click kaho.deb to install it in App Center or Software, or in a terminal:
cd ~/Downloads
sudo apt install ./kaho.deb
Fedora (.rpm)
cd ~/Downloads
sudo dnf install ./kaho.rpm
Any other distro (AppImage)
Nothing else to install. Make it executable (or right-click → Properties → Allow executing), then run it:
cd ~/Downloads
chmod +x kaho.AppImage && ./kaho.AppImage
The AppImage is signed for auto-update; verify it against the .sig.
Linux sessions
Kaho works in X11 and Wayland sessions. On Wayland it needs a one-time setup, which it walks you through on first start: for the hotkey, add yourself to the input group, or bind a desktop shortcut to kaho --toggle; for pasting, allow Kaho once when the desktop asks (on GNOME, “Allow Remote Interaction”).
